One-Ball is played every Monday morning from 10am until 12:30pm. All members are welcome. One-Ball is a variant of Association Croquet and can serve as an introduction to AC.
Every Thursday and Sunday there is a club afternoon to which all members are invited. Everyone attending club afternoon is normally able to play three matches of GC doubles, each with a different partner and each against a different opponent pair.
From the start of BST (on the last Sunday in March) until the end of BST (the last Sunday in October), members wishing to participate in club afternoon should arrive by 1.45pm so play can start at 2pm; during GMT arrive by 12.45pm so play can start at 1pm.
During the summer months, we also have a club evening every Tuesday. All members are invited. Members wishing to participate should arrive by 4:45pm so play can start by 5pm. Everyone attending club evening will normally be able to play at least two matches of GC doubles. After the matches, we sit around for a convivial chat, perhaps with a drink, in the dusk.
One-ball and club afternoon take place year round, weather permitting.
As with other member events, the committee may override arrangements for one-ball, club afternoon and club evening for club functions, maintenance and other club-related purposes.
